LIBERTY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Pickens County deputies and Liberty police are investigating an armed robbery at the Stop-a-Minit on Main Street in Liberty.

Liberty Police Chief Adam Gilstrap said the robbery happened at 9:43 p.m. Monday.

According to the police report, the robber pointed the gun at the clerk, demanded cash saying "give me the money," and as she went behind the counter, he said "hurry up, hurry up," while looking over his shoulder out the window.

Police said the man then ran out of the store with a white plastic bag full of cash and the clerk called 911. Gilstrap said she was not injured.

Gilstrap said the robber fled the scene on foot towards Summit Drive. He also released a surveillance photo of the man they are looking for.

Anyone with information should call the Liberty Police Department at 864-843-3956.
