At the first home game of the season, Furman University revealed a new, additional logo for the school's mascot.
The new Paladin mascot logo will accompany the school's traditional diamond "F" logo on apparel, athletic facilities and other items.
It was designed by Robert Bradford, a 2013 Furman graduate, art major and Greenville native who now works at Erwin Penland.
"I am not the biggest sports fan so I was a bit apprehensive about getting involved when professor McClain asked me," said Bradford. "But now I am really glad I did and am very grateful for the opportunity."
There is also an on-campus contest to name the knight, which will be selected later this year.
The logo was unveiled during the Paladins' first home football game of the season against Presbyterian College.
