Clemson team gears up for RedBull Flugtag Competition
CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
After months of planning and building, a group of Clemson students are heading to Miami for the National Red Bull Flugtag Day.
Officials with Clemson University said the school's coed engineering fraternity, known as Theta Tau, has designed a flying machine for the competition.
The students said they named their team "Hammer Time" and their message to their competitors is simple: "You can't touch this."
The first ever National Red Bull Flugtag competition is happening on Saturday, Sept. 21.
According to the event's website, the competition will take place in five cities simultaneously across the United States. Washington, DC, Miami, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth and Long Beach, CA, all host their own Red Bull Flugtag events on the same day.
The Clemson team will be competing in Miami.
