GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Entercom-owned radio stations in the Upstate are in the final day of a radiothon to raise money for Greenville Hospital System's Children's Hospital. The radiothon started on Thursday, September 19 and ends at 6pm on Friday, September 20.

The stations participating are B93.7, NewsRadio Word, Rock 101, Magic 98.9 and 93.3 The Planet. Listeners will hear the stations' on-air personalities interviewing people from the community about their experiences at GHS Children's Hospital.

FOX Carolina anchors Diana Watson and Cody Alcorn, along with Chief Meteorologist Kendra Kent, were invited to help B93.7. Diana Watson helped out by co-hosting with B93.7's Heidi Aiken for a few hours on Thursday and Kendra Kent helped out by co-hosting with Heidi Aiken for about an hour, starting at 11 a.m. on Friday.  Cody Alcorn is co-hosting with Aiken until 2pm on Friday.

"This is one time when you really have a feeling that you can make a difference," Aiken told FOX Carolina.

One hundred percent of the proceeds stay local, with all of the money going to GHS.

According to GHS, the Children's Hospital's physicians care for more than 330,000 infants, children and adolescents each year.

The B93.7 website says the funds raised in the radiothon will be used for several different initiatives, such as diapers for preemies, learning tools for the children and Playstations and DVDs for the Children's Hospital.
