Dense fog is beginning to lift out of the mountain valleys, while the Upstate is seeing a good mix of sun and clouds this morning. A few rain showers have popped up in our northeast Georgia counties so far today, and though a few isolated areas south and east of the I-85 line could see some spotty rain, the high pressure to our north should be enough to break down those rain showers before the effect many. Elsewhere, partly cloudy skies become mostly cloudy as the day wears on, with highs reaching the upper 70s Upstate, and low 70s in Western NC. This evening and overnight, expect cloud cover to increase for all areas with lows reaching the upper 50s to middle 60s.
Wednesday brings a warm front close to us, which will scatter a few rain showers throughout the day. We're not expecting a washout situation for anyone, though an isolated pocket of rain could be briefly heavy. With the overcast skies and rain, temperatures will remain in the upper 60s to middle 70s.
On & off scattered showers continue overnight into Thursday morning, but by the afternoon we'll dry back out and start to see some sunshine again. Highs will warm back into the low 70s for Western NC, and upper 70s in the Upstate.
