ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A man who was wanted after a shooting at an Anderson apartment complex turned himself in on Tuesday and was released on bond later in the day, according to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.

Freshun Rodregus Mcintosh was being held on the charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, deputies said. He was released from the Anderson County Detention Center on $55,000 bond at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Anderson County deputies said the shooting happened at Meadow Run Apartments on Abbeville Highway just before 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 11.

When authorities arrived at the apartment, they found the victim cleaning three gunshot wounds in the bathroom, according to Lt. Sheila Cole with the sheriff's office. Cole said he was taken to AnMed Health and was in stable condition after surgery.

The victim identified Mcintosh as the suspect.

Deputies said Mcintosh has refused to speak with investigators about the incident and he has requested a lawyer.

Deputies had no new information about the victims condition. They said the last information they received indicated that the victim was in stable condition following surgery on Sept. 12.
