GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Seven juveniles have been charged after an incident where a car was shot with a BB gun earlier in September, according to the Greenville police.

Investigators said the suspects, who are between the ages of 12 and 15, are being charged with attempted robbery and malicious damage.

Police said at about 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 14, two people were walking to their car in the garage on Falls Street when they were approached by a group of about 10 men who looked like they were in their teens.

Officers said one of the teens pulled out what looked like a firearm, but turned out to be a BB gun.

The victims drove off, and a BB hit and damaged the back window of the car as they were leaving, according to police.

Johnathan Bragg of the Greenville Police Department said Crime Stoppers tips led to the arrests. Bragg said three of the juveniles were still being held on Wednesday night.

Bragg said one of them was arrested a few days after the incident, and little by little they were all arrested, with the last one being arrested on Sept. 25.
