School bus involved in crash in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A school bus was involved in the accident shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday in Anderson County, according to Kyle Newton, coordinator of communications for Anderson School District 5.

The accident, which occurred near Scarborough Road and Dobbins Bridge Road, had no serious injuries, according to Newton.

Newton said 22 students were on the bus when the accident happened.

Parents and guardians were alerted of the accident and the students were loaded onto another bus and brought home, Newton said.

Newton said the driver of the car that collided with the bus had only minor injuries and the accident is classified as minor.

The bus driver was uninjured, according to Newton.
