UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Union man is accused of assaulting a woman and kidnapping her after she gave him a ride, according to the deputy's report.

Mack Boler, 30, has been charged with kidnapping/unlawful confinement, petit larceny and assault, according to Union County deputies.

Deputies said Boler asked the victim for a ride to his house and after they started driving Boler started an argument that led to the assault.

The victim said she pulled into a Lil' Cricket and asked Boler to get out of the car. Boler then grabbed the female victim's hair and began hitting her in the head, according to the deputy's report.

The victim said Boler refused to get out of the car and refused to let the victim leave the car. Boler then forced the victim to drive and took her cell phone, the report said. The deputy's report said Boler repeatedly assaulted her while they drove around.

When the victim was able to call 911, Boler ran from the car taking the victim's cell phone with him.
