ROCK HILL, SC (AP) -

The starting quarterback of a Rock Hill high school is accused of selling marijuana at school.

The Herald of Rock Hill reports the 17-year-old senior was arrested Tuesday at South Pointe High School.

Rock Hill police spokesman Mark Bollinger says he faces six drug charges of possession and intent to distribute. He says school administrators searched him and found seven wrapped packages of marijuana. Authorities then executed a search warrant at his home and found more.

Rock Hill school district spokeswoman Elaine Baker says the teen won't play in South Pointe's football game Friday against rival Northwestern High School. The South Pointe Stallions are 4-1 this season.
