PENDLETON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An accident involving a school bus on Friday afternoon left one person dead, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The Highway Patrol said the driver of a pickup truck crossed over the center line and struck a school bus on Belmmina Road in Pendleton.

Catessa Renne Holden, 26, of Seneca, died at the scene of the crash, according to Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown. He said speed and drug use were factors in the crash, as drugs were in Holden's system.

The driver of the school bus was taken to the hospital, but troopers said they did not know the extent of her injuries.

No students were on the bus at the time of the accident.
