Woman killed after veering into oncoming traffic

A woman is dead after a head-on crash in Anderson County.

Anderson County Deputy Coroner said Jacqueline Shannon Mullins, 41, died just before 6 a.m. Saturday.

Boseman said Mullins was driving south on Belton Highway when she veered into the northbound lane and into the path of an oncoming car on River Street.

Boseman said the cause of death was major head and chest trauma.

There's no word on the condition of the other driver.

The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
