WEST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A Windsor resident was killed when a motor vehicle overturned on Interstate 84 in West Hartford Monday afternoon.

The one-car crash shut down I-84 between exits 41 and 43 at about 3:30 p.m.

State Police said Stephen Elliott, 19, of Windsor was killed after he lost control his Honda Civic and was ejected from the car.

All the eastbound lanes were shut down until about 7:15 p.m. while state police investigated the  fatal crash.

An accident reconstruction team collected evidence, but the cause of the crash has not been determined at this time.
