ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Some in Anderson are going pink for breast cancer awareness permanently with pink cancer ribbon tattoos.

A tattoo parlor is donating proceeds from pink breast cancer ribbon tattoos to the Cancer Association of Anderson.

Painted Pony Tattoos on Whitehall Road offers $40 pink ribbon tattoos for those looking to raise money and support breast cancer research.

From remembering loved ones who passed away from breast cancer to celebrating remission, several people stopped by the parlor on Monday to get a pink tattoo.

The money raised from the tattoos will help cancer patients who need assistance getting transportation to the doctor's office or other financial help.

The deal will run through October. The staff is also donating their time and resources to help.
