CONCORD, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Law enforcement in North Carolina have canceled a silver alert for a 17-year-old girl who was last seen at school and had been considered endangered.

According to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, the public was asked to keep an eye out for Dereona Lashons Dillard, who may have been suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

DPS said Dillard was last seen at JM Robinson High School on Pitts School Road in Concord, but they don't know where she was headed. Concord is located northeast of Charlotte.

She was last seen wearing a gray and black v-neck shirt, black leggings and high-heeled shoes with black and silver straps, like the photograph. Authorities said she was also wearing large silver earrings, a long silver necklace with beads on it and a silver ring on left ring finger.

DPS did not release details about where or how Dillard was found. FOX Carolina is working to find out more about how she is doing.
