World Care is moving their operations

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

World Care is relocating their base of operations.

According to officials with World Care as of November 1, the organization is moving their operations from the 63-year-old facility at Ellington Place to another location; excessive water pipe damage and erosion is cited as the reason for the move.

World Care staff has experienced seven water main breaks within the last year, according to officials with the non-profit, with the most recent happening three weeks ago.

World Care is asking for the public's help in raising the $250,000 necessary for the new location and for its strategic plan for 2014.

As of November 1, all services provided by World Care will temporarily stop, according to the non-profit, as essential resources are moved to a more secure site.

For the next two weeks World Care will be holding a large yard sale to help raise funds needed for this move.
