Since Sept. 12, the leaves have started to change, and there's a new normal as the temperatures go down.
But there's one thing that has not changed in a neighborhood near Greenville's downtown - the waiting and hoping that one of their own will come home.
"Misty is the kind of neighbor that would be like, 'Hey, you forgot to take the trash out,' and would wheel your trash can to the curb for you," said Rebecca Kennelly.
Kennelly said she met Misty Johnson in June, and the two struck up an instant friendship. But since the morning of Sept. 12, she has not heard anything from the woman who would call, text or come over every day.
"Every day that we miss out on that, it's a chip in our hearts, " said Kennelly.
Johnson's disappearance has been a tough case for Greenville police.
"We've talked with people that know her, work with her, may have seen her or spoke to her on that night," said Lt. Jason Rampey. "But as of right now, we don't know where she is."
Police said the investigation still continues into what happened after Johnson was last seen leaving Junior's Sports Bar on Gladys Drive by herself.
Police later found her car, but no sign of her.
"At what point do we know, 'Okay, did they leave, or have they been a victim of something, or is it someone that doesn't that want to be found?'" said Rampey. "In this case, we don't believe that to be the case."
And as time goes on, no answers means more concern for those that knew and loved Johnson.
But there is still hope that answers will come soon.
"If we can just stay bound together in the pursuit of bringing her home, she will come home," said Kennelly.
Anyone with any information on the case is asked to call Greenville County Crimestoppers at 23-CRIME.
