Highway Patrol investigates fatal moped accident

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greenville man has died after his moped hit road sign on Wednesday night, according to the coroner.

The Greenville County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 32-year-old William H. Green.

Officials said Green lost control of his moped and hit a road sign. Officials said he was not wearing a helmet and was the only person involved in the crash.

The accident happened around 6 p.m. on High Valley Boulevard in Greenville County.

The case is still under investigation by the Greenville County Coroners office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
