South Carolina and Clemson both moved up in the new coaches poll released Sunday.
The Gamecocks moved up to 16th in the coaches poll, and to 14th in the Associated Press poll thanks to their upset win at Missouri on Saturday night.
It was a thriller in which banged up QB Connor Shaw ignited the offense off the bench in the second half. Shaw brought the Gamecocks back from a 17-0 deficit to tie the game, and eventually win it in double overtime.
Mizzou was ranked the number five team in the country at that point, the Gamecocks were 20th.
Meanwhile Clemson rebounded from its top five loss a week ago by going on the road and handling Maryland 40-27 in College Park. The win moved the Tigers to the number 8 spot in the Coaches poll. The Tigers stayed put at number 9 in the AP poll.
