ST. STEPHEN, S.C. (FOX Carolina) -

Police in St. Stephen say two victims in Monday morning's issued AMBER Alert are safe, and that the alleged abductor is in custody.

36-year-old Deandrene W. McHoney and 17-year-old LeAndre' Shalaunti Deare Jenkins were located after their alleged captor, 36-year-old Telly McClam, crashed his car in the Council Road area, according to St. Stephen Police Chief John Waters.

McClam was taken into custody late Monday night after a manhunt. Police K-9 units and a helicopter were being used in the search for him.

The two victims were abducted from two different residences just before the AMBER Alert was issued, officials said Monday. Officials also said McClam and McHoney were dating before McHoney left his home with her daughter Thursday.
