Deputies: Couple charged with making meth in front of children

ENOREE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A man and a woman are facing drug charges after authorities said they discovered a meth lab while conducting a child neglect investigation.

Barbara Beck and Robert Beck Jr. are accused of running the meth lab in the presence of their two children.

Deputies with the Laurens County Sheriff's Office said the discovery was made Monday on two properties that the couple is responsible for.  

Both are charged with two counts of unlawful neglect towards a child, two counts of manufacturing methamphetamine, two counts of manufacturing methamphetamine in presence of a child and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine.

Both are currently being held at the Johnson Detention Center.
