ANDERSON, SC (AP/FOX Carolina) -

Sex offenders across South Carolina were again subject to some restrictions and curfews this Halloween.

More than 50 child sex offenders had to be at the Anderson County Pardons and Parole Office in downtown Anderson for a curfew from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday.

This is the seventh year paroled South Carolina sex offenders have had a Halloween curfew. Authorities say it's safe to let kids go door-to-door to trick-or-treat as long as they're supervised.

There are more than 150 sex offenders in Anderson County who are supervised by the parole office. Only child sex offenders were required to spend their Halloween curfew at the office.

The other 100 sex offenders could not have Halloween decorations in their yard, or their porch lights on. They also had to stay inside while during trick-or-treating.

Offenders could not host parties, attend carnivals, give out candy or even have their outdoor lights on. Agents will call and drop by some offenders' homes to check in.
