LIBERTY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A bad check led to a wanted man being arrested and charged, according to a report from the Liberty Police Department.

Police said they went to a house in Liberty to make contact with the Jason Roper, who wrote the bad check on Wednesday. The man wasn't home but neighbors said the man drove a tan Jaguar that was in the parking lot, according to the report.

Police said they ran the plates on the car and found that they were registered to another vehicle and the car was registered to another person.

Police waited for the man to leave and attempted to pull him over but the man fled, according to the reports.

After a short chase, police talked to the man and found that his name was actually Joshua Lewis Donald, 34, the reports said.

They said they found a half full bottle of vodka in the glovebox and a water bottle half full with orange juice and vodka in the cupholder.

Deputies said other towns in the area had warrants for Donald and he was wanted by the Pickens County Sheriff's Office and Pickens City Police.

Donald is charged with grand larceny, giving false information, failing to stop for a blue light, driving under suspension, second-degree burglary, and two bench warrants, according to online jail records.
