CHESNEE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies in Spartanburg County said they arrested a man they believe was involved in a shooting Sunday afternoon.

Deputies said they received a call to an address on Townsel Road at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday with reports that a woman had been shot.

Deputies said they located the victim with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. She was airlifted to the hospital.

Deputies said the suspect, Andrew Hardin, 22, fled the scene before they arrived. Deputies said he was armed with three types of firearms, including the one used in the shooting.

Deputies said Hardin got into a fight with his girlfriend, the victim, which led up to the shooting.

Hardin was later arrested and charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to deputies.

The violent crime investigators said as of Sunday night, the victim's condition is listed as critical.
