GUYTON, GA (WTOC) -

The Georgia Marching Band Series finals competition held at South Effingham High School. Saturday is the ninth and final competition in the 2013 Marching Season.

The series follows the GHSA classification guidelines for performance classification.

Twelve marching bands from across Georgia are set to compete. South Effingham, Southeast Bulloch, Richmond Hill and Jeff Davis are local bands that have made it to the finals.

"For us as parents it's just amazing to see so many talented kids in only one spot and for the kids it's their chance to how hard they worked since July, most of them, with summer band camps and during the school year putting on shows. So, this is finally their chance to do it one more time to shine and taking their chance to take home the championship cup or just cheer on each other and have a great time."

A WTOC viewer reported that the Richmond Hill Wildcats took home first prize and South Effingham was first runner-up.
