More cold weather, possible snow on the way to our area

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Fox Carolina Meteorologist Mark Johnson said the skies will become mostly sunny across the area with highs in the middle to upper 60s in the Upstate and near 60 in the mountains on Sunday.

Johnson said the mountains will be breezy with gusts up to 25 miles per hour.

"It should be another great day to view the beautiful fall color still on the trees in many areas," Johnson said.

Johnson said Veterans Day will once again be sunny with highs a little cooler than Sunday. He said temperatures will make it up to the lower 60s in the Upstate and into the middle 50s in the mountains.

"We are closely watching a weather system that will move across the area Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday," Johnson said. "This could produce some wintry weather for portions of the area."

Johnson said that forecast may include snow flurries.

He also advised that you enjoy the fall foliage while it lasts. Johnson says branches are already bare in some areas.

Johnson said you can check out our FOX Carolina weather blog for more about our Fall Foliage in the area and the chances for wintry weather in the Western Carolinas.
