GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Parks Evans with the Greenville County Coroner's office said a 21-year-old man died in a single car crash in Greenville on Sunday.

Greenville Police said they responded to a traffic collision on Old Sulphur Springs Rd. near Salters Rd. just after 4 a.m.

At the scene, officers said they discovered a man unresponsive in a vehicle.

EMS confirmed the driver had died from injuries when they arrived at the scene, police said.

Evans said Ferdinand Le Pottier was driving southbound in a 2012 Fiat when he ran off the road, then hit a tree and ran into a small creek bed.

Evans listed the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head.
