Posted: Updated:

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said Sunday that one man is dead following a two-vehicle collision south of Travelers rest along U.S. 25 in Greenville County.

Coroner Kent Dill said a pick-up truck and a box truck, pulling a trailer, were headed in opposite directions on White Horse Road (U.S. 25), around 6:45 a.m. He said the box truck crossed the center line and crashed into the smaller truck, near the Hunts Bridge Road intersection.

Troopers said the driver of the northbound headed Toyota Tacoma pick-up was pronounced dead on scene. Dill identified the man as 52 year-old James Rochester. He said he was wearing a seatbelt during the wreck.

Troopers told us, the driver of the box truck, identified as 43-year-old Aaron Miller, was charged with not having a valid driver's license and driving recklessly.

The SC Highway Patrol is still investigating the wreck.
