GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies are looking for two guys who killed Al-Ali Perkins a year ago. They said they've received new leads as recently as last week.

They said the Upstate dad was gunned down outside a friend's house on Lora Lane Nov. 6, 2012.

Deputies at the time said that two men showed up to the apartment. They said one of them held Perkins outside at gunpoint, while the other kicked in the apartment's door, armed, and told the three people inside that they were there to rob them.

Investigators think that Perkins struggled with the first man, and he was eventually shot.

Through that night, K-9 teams searched for the suspects, but no suspects were arrested.

Now, it's Crime Stoppers fliers and word of mouth that are bringing in new tips all these months later.

"There's somebody out here that knows something, and I just hope and pray that they would just come out and say anything that they know that may lead to an arrest," said Cherelle Perkins, Al-Ali Perkins' widow.

Cherelle Perkins said every day is a struggle for her and her 13 year-old daughter and six year-old son. She said she hopes people will think of them and come forward.

There is a $2,000 reward being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
