ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Buncombe County deputies said they have arrested a registered sex offender who walked away from an interview about a fatal armed robbery in Asheville.

Public Relations Coordinator Natalie Bailey said Christopher Jordan Johnson, 22, was wanted on an armed robbery charge, and they're seeking the public's help to capture him. Bailey said Johnson was arrested early Friday morning.

Investigators said Johnson and Christina Marie Guffey, 26, of Candler, were involved in a fatal armed robbery at a home on Radford Drive on Wednesday.

Guffey was charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery.

Deputies said the victim was Timothy Radford, 54, and said he was shot to death.

Deputies said Johnson was a registered sex offender out of Florida.
