SENECA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office said they have made an arrest, after a man was found shot to death in Seneca on Friday night.

Deputies said Saturday they arrested 36-year-old Joshua Ferguson, of Seneca, during a traffic stop.

Deputies said Ferguson was charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. He is currently being held at the Oconee County Detention Center on a Temporary Custody order.

Coroner Karl Addis identified they victim as Charles Cantrell, 46, of Salem. Addis said Cantrell died of a gunshot wound.

Deputies said they got a call around 8:15 p.m. Friday about a shooting at a home on Webb Road, off of Singing Pines Road.

Deputies said their investigation led them to believe a disagreement between the two men led to Cantrell being shot.

According to investigators, Ferguson lived next door to where the incident happened.
