ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The school district has announced the Westside High School football coach and athletic director will not return next year.

A spokesperson for Anderson School District Five said they are looking for a new head football coach and athletic director for the 2014-2015 school year at Westside.

Current Coach/AD John Boggs will finish out his contract through the end of the school year.

"After consulting with district and school officials, it became clear that a change in culture needed to take place, and while this decision did not come easy, it was made in the best interests of our students," said Superintendent Tom Wilson, in a media release sent to FOX Carolina on Monday. "I will continue to make needed changes in this district in order for all students to have the opportunity to excel in academics, arts and athletics."

Boggs took over as coach and AD in 2012, leaving behind 3A Walhalla High School. In 2012, he led the Rams to a 4-7 season but this fall, the team only won one game against JL Mann 38-14.

The district did not release any further details about when or how the hiring process for the AD and coach position will begin.
