CANDLER, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A teen pleaded guilty on Monday in connection with a murder that happened earlier in 2013 in Candler, NC and will now spend over two decades in prison.

Gavin Geisler, 18, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, second degree burglary, larceny of a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon in Buncombe County Superior Court.

Buncombe County deputies found 19-year-old Dylan Roseboom dead in the yard of a Candler home in the early morning on Jan. 18. The victim's body was found with obvious signs of trauma at 49 Albert Warrant Dr. just before noon on the same day, deputies said.

After the victim was murdered Geisler went into the house and stole a rifle, according to Buncombe County district attorney's office.

Deputies searched for Geisler after the incident, eventually locating him and charging him.

Geisler received four consecutive sentence for a total 26 to 34.5 years in prison.

Two other have been charged in the case. No new information is available about their cases at this time.
