GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A person was shot in the parking lot of a gas station in Greenville County on Wednesday night, deputies said.

The clerk called 911 after he heard a gunshot and someone screaming that they had been shot outside of the Lucky Mart at 1500 Buncombe Rd., according to Lt. Tim Ridgeway with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office said.

The victim was getting out of a car when another car pulled up and the driver shot the man, Ridgeway said. He said five shots were fired and the victim was hit twice.

The victim was in serious, but stable condition, according to authorities.

Deputies said they believe they have a good description of the suspect from store surveillance.

Ridgeway said the gunman left the scene in a beige or gold four door sedan.

Deputies have not said if they located the shooter yet.
