SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Spartanburg County deputies are looking for two men they said robbed a Li'l Cricket at gunpoint, forcing an employee on the floor and another in the cooler Wednesday night.
According to the sheriff's office report, deputies were called to the store on Southport Road just after 8 p.m.
Deputies spoke with three employees who were working at the time of the robbery. The first employee told deputies she was leaving the cooler when she saw one of the men run towards another employee in the coffee area and force her on the ground at gunpoint, according to the report.
The woman forced on the ground said she saw the two men walk up to the checkout counter, then one of them ran towards her with a gun, deputies said.
She said she saw the other man go behind the counter and fill a bag will Newport cigarettes and Swisher Sweet blunt wraps, then he ran out of the store, according to the report. The other man also grabbed an armful of cigarettes before fleeing, deputies said.
The third employee was also leaving the cooler when one of the men told him to go back inside it, deputies said.
The men were wearing bandanas over their faces, but deputies have released surveillance photos in the hopes someone can identify them.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
