Deputies: Search warrant leads to 5 arrests in Ware Shoals

WARE SHOALS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A search warrant being served to one person led to the arrest of five people on Wednesday, the sheriff's office announced.

Deputies were serving an outstanding arrest warrant at a house on Highway 25 in Ware Shoals when they found 70 grams of meth, pills and cash, according to the Laurens County Sheriff's Office.

Larry Furman Benton Jr.; 42, Norman Danial Reese, 35; Stacey Lynn Jones, 31, were all charged with trafficking meth and possession with intent to distribute meth, according to the sheriff's office.

Gary Barker Plake III, 28, is charged with trafficking meth, distributing a controlled substance and possession of meth.

Deputies said while they were at the house a car pulled into the driveway driven by Susanna Lee Grant, 47, who was driving without a license and had two types of controlled substances in the car.

The Ware Shoals Police Department and the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office assisted as backup in the incident.
