SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg deputies are searching for two men accused of robbing a man of his cell phone and moped at gunpoint.

The victim said he had been stopped at a stop sign at about 6:30 a.m. at the railroad tracks on Nazareth Church Road, near Freys Drive.

He told deputies that two men were standing at the tracks when he stopped and one of them pointed a handgun at him and demanded his moped.

The victim said he tried to drive off on his electric blue and gray 2013 Nitro 50 moped, but one of the suspects grabbed the handlebar and put a gun to his face.

Deputies said the victim got off, but before the men left, they searched him and robbed him of his cell phone. He said the men rode the moped towards Highway 290.

It took the victim three hours to call deputies because he had to walk back to Duncan to his friend's house and then get a ride home to find the title to his moped.

The victim said the gun was black and the suspects were in their early to mid-20s and both were about 5'9" tall. He said one suspect wore a yellow hoodie with writing on the front and the other wore a black hoodie.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
