Students from the University of Alabama braved some of the coldest weather of the season late Sunday night, choosing to camp out in hopes of getting a better seat at the Iron Bowl.
While students buy their tickets before the season starts, they are required to pick up away tickets in person. This year's Iron Bowl will be played across the state at Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The best seats go first, so many students lined up during the frigid overnight hours for their chance to get them.
Many of the students, who are cheering on the Tide in its attempt to run the table on an undefeated season and a chance at a historic, third consecutive national championship, say the wait was worth it.
"The chance that they [Auburn] actually could put up a fight against us this year and keep us from three-peating...," said UA student J.P. Sullivan while he waited. "I've got a friend who goes to Auburn and I'm really looking forward to being able to talk some trash to him."
The game is set to air on CBS at 2:30 Central on Saturday. If RVs are any indication, Auburn fans are just as excited as Alabama fans for the matchup. They've been arriving on the Plains since last Friday.
