This year's Iron Bowl could be one of the most momentous in the history of the match up.
The Tide and Tigers meet Saturday with SEC and national title implications. Monday, two former coaches were in Birmingham talking up the big game.
Former Alabama head coach Gene Stallings and former Auburn head coach Pat Dye know a little something about the Iron Bowl and what's at stake.
They were both in town for the Gridiron Gala. Alabama is currently the favorite but as history has shown, that doesn't really mean anything when it's game time. We asked both coaches for their predictions.
"We're the underdog, but it's not the first time," Dye said. "[The Tide has] to go play at Auburn, that should be some advantage, but Alabama has a great team."
"I think Alabama is the best team, but the best team doesn't always win," Stallings said. "I think the Auburn coach has just done suburb job with this football team."
