ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County deputies are investigating the discovery a car submerged in Lake Hartwell.

Deputies at the scene tell FOX Carolina that a fisherman spotted the car Friday morning along the Asbury Park Boat Ramp off of Asbury Park Road in Anderson.

Deputies said the car was reported stolen out of Greenville, but they do not know how long the car had been in the lake.

The fisherman said he was putting his boat in when he bumped the car, according to officials at the scene.

A tow truck was brought in to get the car out of the lake.
