Firefighters respond to Taylors house blaze

TAYLORS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Taylors firefighters were called to a blaze Friday afternoon, along with a Greenville County deputy coroner.

Coroner Deputy Kent Dill said he was called to the fire near the intersection of Tanner Road and Birdsong Lane in Taylors.

He said he was waiting for firefighters to finish searching the home to confirm no one was found inside.

Officials and family at the scene said one man was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters tell us the roof on the house caved in and that it's a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
