MONCKS CORNER, SC (AP) -

Authorities say a South Carolina woman accused of trying to abduct her 4-year-old daughter from school has been mistakenly released from jail.

Neely Blanchard was awaiting trial on a number of charges in the attempted abduction from a Goose Creek school in May that injured a school employee.

Court documents show Blanchard was free on $75,000 bond until Nov. 18, when her bond was revoked for violating the conditions of her release. However, the order was never filed in the jail and she was released from the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner on Wednesday.

Troopers stopped Blanchard and another woman on Interstate 26 after the attempted abduction.

A Berkeley County sheriff's office spokesman says an internal investigation is underway and deputies are searching for Blanchard.
