ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County deputies said an Anderson woman shot another man on Monday with a shotgun.

The shooting happened at a home on Pinecroft Drive near Amity Monday afternoon. Deputies said the victim was in stable condition following surgery after he was shot.

Deputies said Chantel Bryant, 30, and the victim got into a fight when she shot him once with a shotgun.

According to the deputy's report, Bryant and the victim live at the same home, but they did not say what their relationship was.

When deputies arrived at the home after the shooting, they said they had to use their patrol car's PA system to get her to exit the home. Deputies also said animal control officers were called to the scene to remove a large dog from the house so they could investigate.

A witness who lives across the street said the victim ran into her yard and tried to enter her house following the shooting. She said there was blood on her driveway, porch and front door. She also said bullets hit her minivan, denting the hatchback, putting a hole in her bumper and flattening a tire.

Deputies said Bryant was charged with attempted murder and was also served with an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a previous misdemeanor drug charge.
