Cleveland Police look for answers in East 102nd St. shooting

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police are investigating a shooting which took place around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, December 2, near E. 102nd St. and Hampden.

Police say two males were involved in a verbal argument when one produced a handgun and shot the victim in the back.

The victim fled the scene in a private vehicle. 

Officers located the male victim suffering from a gun shot wound to the back near 105th St. and Chester Ave.

EMS was notified and the male was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.

His condition is unknown at this time.

No arrests were made in connection with the shooting.

Police ask anyone with information regarding the incident to please contact your local police department. Callers can remain anonymous.
