Confederate grave markers were stolen from a cemetery in Union County sometime over the past year, according to an incident report from the sheriff's office.

A person who maintains Flat Rock cemetery said the metal grave markers were noticed missing on Nov. 22., and said the last time she was sure the markers were there was about a year ago.

Caretakers of the cemetery said they were unsure when the grave markers were stolen over the last year.
