WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Travelers Rest man faces multiple charges after he was found sleeping in a stolen school truck in a parking lot in Oconee County on Tuesday, the sheriff's office announced.

Deputies said they saw the truck parked across multiple parking spaces at the Fall Creek boat landing on Landing Road in Salem around 10 p.m. and saw 23-year-old Joshua Dockery sleeping in the car.

Deputies then noticed alcohol in the car and said there was trash spreading out of the doors, and an open container of beer.

The truck also had a sign that said "Greenville County School District," and Dockery said he worked there, according to Jimmy Watt of the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.

Dockery was then placed under arrest on the charges of public disorderly conduct/public drunk, open container, and littering, deputies said.

Deputies said they checked the tags on the truck and they came back stolen.

Dockery is also being held on a temporary custody order on the charge of possession of a stolen vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.

According to the warrant, the truck was stolen from the Greenville County School District on Dec. 1.

Watt said Dockery is being held on a $10,525 surety bond, $10,000 of which is for the charge of possession of a stolen vehicle.

Dockery is being held at the Oconee County Detention Center.
