GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The rapper and Upstate resident Earl Simmons, better known as DMX, is working on a new gospel song, according to his publicist Domenick Nati.

Nati sent FOX Carolina a video of DMX working on the song at Dame's Attic Studio in Greenville. At the beginning of the video the voice of FOX Carolina news anchor Diana Watson can be heard talking about a previous arrest of DMX on a broadcast.

The song, titled Never Give Up, does not have a release date at this time.

DMX has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and acted in several films such as Romeo Must Die and Belly.

The rapper has been in the public eye recently after he was arrested three times in the Upstate over the past year.
