Deputies: 3 charged after rash of burglaries in Union Co.

UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Three people have been charged after over $17,000 in property was stolen over the last few months in Union County, the sheriff's office announced on Thursday.

The burglaries involved several homes and businesses in Union County dating back to late October, according to warrants provided by the sheriff's office.

Felicia Parkins, 20, has been charged with grand larceny in connection with an incident on Jones Ford Road, according to warrants.

Freddie Puckett, 53, has been charged with three counts of grand larceny, third degree burglary and second degree burglary in connection with incidents on Kelly Road, Jones Ford Road, Terrapin Road in Union, according to Kim Bailey of the sheriff's office.

According to Bailey $16,550 of the stolen property has been recovered.

Bailey said the sheriff's office has also cleared a burglary case that happened on Buncombe Road in Union. She said the suspect in the case is deceased and did not release his name.

Deputies said there was also a storage building that was burglarized in Union and a man had been charged. Bailey said, Jimmy Rhinehart, 43, was arrested on Thursday and charged with third degree burglary and petit larceny in connection with theft of over $1,500 in property at the storage building.
