GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greenville boy diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma had a wish granted on Friday as part of a national holiday campaign.

Twelve-year-old Christian's wish was to go on a shopping spree. Through the Make-A-Wish program and Macy's fifth annual National Believe Day, his wish came true.

According to a spokesperson for Macy's, Christian will spend the afternoon shopping at Macy's in the Haywood Mall. He wished to go shopping so he could buy school clothes, shoes and toys.

He was driven to the mall by limousine for his shopping spree and received a red carpet arrival. After being greeted by a crowd and receiving a gift, he wrote a letter to Santa then started shopping with his family.
