Deputies look for information after Spinx robbed in Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help on Friday after a Spinx gas station was robbed at gunpoint.

Jonathan Smith of the sheriff's office said the Spinx at 2102 Old Spartanburg Rd. was robbed on Thursday by a man wearing a mask and a dark hat.

The man pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money, according to Smith.

Smith said the man was described as being approximately 5'8" and 180 pounds.

No one was injured in the robbery, Smith said.

Smith sent FOX Carolina surveillance photos from the incident and asked for the public's help identifying the man.

Anyone who may have information regarding the subject or this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
